Donating backpacks to homeless - 2021

According to the 2020 Annual Homeless Assessment Report from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development report in January 2020, there were 161,000 people living on the streets in California. From what I have witnessed, many of them face the problem of how to carry their belongings with them from place to place. To help this problem, I reached out to people in my neighborhood asking whether they had any used or new backpacks that they were willing to donate. My brother and I drove through our area and picked up backpacks. – Saket Kelkar (June 2021)

On August 6, we donated over 50 backpacks to Project Homeless Connect in San Francisco, CA. We are grateful to everyone who contributed with their generous donations.
